Hello, magical Human. Welcome back to Madison Mindset Podcast. It's so good to have you here. This is a Friday episode. It's a little bit different. We usually do practice episodes on Fridays, but because Friday happens to be the 1st of August, I thought why not turn it into the card reading, because it just aligns so beautifully right. So we're going to go through our August card reading here and for this morning my cards are a little bit different. I've got a cute little bowl here If you're looking at the video you can see them and I've got beautiful intention cards. They're gorgeous, they have an om on each side. They're really sweet and they always just have one word, you know, which is really beautiful, especially when you're doing reading. Sometimes you might just go with a word and see what intuitive stuff comes out. So that's what we're going to do.
Speaker 2:But before we jump in, I want to remind you that I have very few coaching spaces available for the next seven months. I've got quite a few spaces filled. I've only got one or two spaces left and I've got meetings booked. I'm not everyone who books doesn't receive the coaching. You know, sometimes people decide it's not for them. Sometimes I decide that our connection or what you want to help with isn't something that I can help you with? And I'll always be very honest and tell you look, I'd love to help you, but I'm not specialized in that area, I don't know much about it. I think it'd be better if you find someone in that space. I'm always very honest with you and you know it's good to connect and see what our connection is, what our vibe is, and see if we click or not as a coach and client and even in any kind of relationship or friendship. So if you are curious and if you are thinking, oh, I wouldn't mind doing coaching, I'm only taking on seven. Five to seven people, depending on how I feel for the next seven months, one on one, okay, five to seven VIP, madison Mindset people, right? So if you are curious, if you're like, yep, you know what I really want to end this year well, I really want to start next year well, I really want the support and I really want to learn about the chakra system. This is what the coaching is based around the chakra system. I want to learn about my physical health. I want to learn about my mental, my emotional health, my spiritual health. This is your opportunity. Want to learn about my mental, my emotional health, my spiritual health. This is your opportunity. There are not many spaces left. So, if you're listening to this and it's early August, book now, because by the end of August mid to end of August there will be no more spots available for seven months, so I'm not going to be opening the door again until about April next year.
Speaker 2:So now is the time. Book your call. Let's see if I can support you. Now's the time. Now is the time. There are, of course, other ways. You can check out my Patreon. You can check out all the podcast episodes. They're all beautiful. They're all there to support you. You can check out the meditation workshop that just went live on Patreon. You can go and purchase that. There are more great things coming that will assist you in different ways, but if you want to work with me one-on-one, this is your small window. Now's the time.
Speaker 2:Okay, now that we've got that out of the way, let's go over some card reading for the coming month. Let's set our intentions. Let's see how things went last month, let's begin. Okay. So I'm just going to feel through these cards. I don't like to shuffle these ones because they're so small. They just fly around the room what cards feel called to come. Great, here's the first one. Beautiful.
Speaker 2:This card is a green card. I always contribute that to heart chakra and the message is warmth. I don't know if you can see that it's little gold letters. It's cool in the light. The message is warmth. Heart chakra, warmth. We as a collective are learning how to be warm in our heart space. Okay, many of us are very shut off to love, shut off to compassion, shut off to empathy, to feeling We've got some kind of blockage in our heart space. This card invites you to invite warmth in to the heart space, invite warmth. Imagine what a warm heart would feel like. Imagine what warm emotions in the heart would feel like Love, compassion, empathy, kindness, all of those kinds of emotions. Imagine the heart would feel like Love, compassion, empathy, kindness, all of those kinds of emotions. Imagine how they would feel in the heart space. Can you imagine it as warm? And I just gently imagine that warmth, increasing Warmth.
Speaker 2:So whenever you're dealing with someone, with something with yourself, and you're feeling you're leaning towards anger, frustration, guilt, being annoyed, being judgmental, whatever it is, that's your moment to invite warmth in, whether it's your partner, whether it's your children, whether it's your friends, whether it's your colleagues, whether it's your parents. Invite warmth, invite warmth. Move from that warm space, because if the heart gets cold, then we become quite vicious. We lash out with words, we lash out with action, we block ourselves off. This card is inviting you to be warm.
Speaker 2:Be warm to those around you, even if you think they did something wrong, even if you think they're out to get you, even if you think their heart is cold doesn't matter. You're going to stand strong in warmth, in love. Love, unconditional love is the highest emotion, it's the highest frequency. So, even if someone is meeting you in anger, frustration, guilt, tripping you, whatever it is manipulating you, whatever they're doing, if you're firm in love, they can't touch you. They can't, and you'll encourage them to rise and meet you. So hold in warmth, compassion, kindness, love, compassion, kindness, love. I don't know what's going to happen for you this month.
Speaker 2:Maybe this card is indicating that there may be some conflict and the key for you is warmth. Maybe you're in conflict right now with someone or something else, or perhaps there's a life situation that comes in this month. Maybe it's with yourself. A lot of people are in conflict just with their own selves. They don't even have to look outside to find conflict. Warmth. That is your key. Whether you're mad at your body, whether you're feeling whatever it is about your mind, oh I'm so this, oh I'm so that. Choose warmth, fill the heart space with it.
Speaker 2:No-transcript. Wake up. So this card blue. Wake up throat space communication. Wake up. If we were to wake up this area, wake it up. Perhaps it's been asleep. Maybe your communication has been shut down. Perhaps you haven't been using your voice as you should be. Perhaps you've been feeling, maybe again back to the warm and cold. Maybe it's been cold there. Maybe you've been holding back on your beliefs, on your values, on asking difficult questions. Maybe you haven't been willing to offer your truth and hear the truth of others. This invites you to wake that space up, wake that ability up.
Speaker 2:Practice saying what you think. Practice giving your opinion with kindness, with warmth. Practice speaking your truth. Practice setting your boundaries. Practice standing strong with who you are, something I've been practicing, even just the last month not long at all, even though I've been doing throat chakra work for a long time. What I've actually been practicing is asking for what I want, because I often feel like, oh no, that's going to you know that'll be inconvenient for them or that'll be uncomfortable for them, or I don't want to do it, actually being brave enough to ask what I want.
Speaker 2:So the previous episode that went out was the interview with Brianna Wiest. She's a highly established author and someone I've admired for a long time. I've read all her books. I love her. Some of you may know her and her work. Reaching out to her and saying I want you on my podcast, that was really scary and I thought who am I to ask Brianna who will come on this podcast? It's crazy. You know she's not going to say yes, but I was like you know what? Just ask. Hey, I want you to come on my podcast. And you know what. She said yes, and I've asked many other authors. Many of them said no. Some of them said yes, you've really got to start to go. Hey, I want to do this. Hey, I think that, hey, how about you come and do this thing with me? Or how about I go and do this thing with you? How about this?
Speaker 2:Actually allowing yourself to be heard and more often than not, it's always the right thing. If you feel like I really want this, I really think this would be a great idea. When you share that, you'd be amazed how many times people go. Oh, it's funny you say that because I was just feeling like I would love to be on more podcasts. Or hey, it's funny you say that I was just thinking that I really want to do this. Or it's funny you say that I was just thinking that I really want to do this, or it's been coming up a lot for me.
Speaker 2:Often everyone's intuition is just interconnected right. We're all receiving similar things at the same time, and some of us are meant to collaborate, some of us are meant to work together, some of us are meant to be in relationships together, some of us are meant to be friends or colleagues or whatever, and some people you'll never meet. But the idea is that you have to be brave enough and strong enough in your throat space to ask for what you want. Go for what you want. Say what you think. You know if someone's being ridiculous or they're, you know, being rude or inconsiderate, tell them kindly with warmth. You know, don't call them names and push them out the door, but say hey, I hear everything you're saying. I understand that you must be a little bit frustrated or you're experiencing some anger. I completely understand that. However, what you're doing right now is not fair and we can communicate with more love than this. So how about we try that? When you do that, you'd be surprised. Sometimes you get some lash back from doing that. People like oh who are you, miss High and Mighty, whatever. Sometimes you get a bit of that, but more often than not, it does cool things down, because when someone decides to take the seat of love, to take the seat of kindness, when someone makes that decision, it encourages everyone else to do the same. So I highly recommend trying that, giving that a go and seeing what comes of it, because sometimes it changes everything.
Speaker 2:The next card I'm feeling four, four weeks, four cards. Ooh, one just fell out Yellow. Ooh, we're looking at solar plexus chakra, challenging. Oh boy, love this word, I love it. Well, you know what. It never surprises me, because life is meant to be a little bit triggering, a little bit challenging, a little bit. Hey, how about you get out of your comfort zone, out of here? How about you have to deal with this now? How about that? Because it forces you to grow right. So challenging in relationship to solar plexus chakra.
Speaker 2:This is the space that governs your identity, your ego, your confidence, your self-belief. Okay. So if we've got challenges around this area, perhaps there's a threat to the ego. Perhaps you have to take yourself down a peg. Perhaps you have to build yourself up and actually create a backbone with yourself and be like you know what. Build yourself up and actually create a backbone with yourself and be like you know what. I am worthy of being here, I am worthy of stepping forward, I am worthy of this space, and only you can decide. Where is that? You know the clients I work with one-on-one. I can usually identify it for them whether they need to come down a peg or go up a peg. But what we're looking at is finding balance of ego.
Speaker 2:If someone threatens your identity, your ego. Let's, for example, say I'm a yoga teacher, right. If someone said you know what? You're not a very good yoga teacher. If that stirs me up, then I have an ego that's attached to being a yoga teacher, being a good yoga teacher, right. If that makes me feel threatened in any way, that points to lack of self-belief, that there's a fear there of me not being good enough, not being a good enough teacher. So when someone threatens that, the identity that I've built around being I am a good yoga teacher. I am a good yoga teacher when that's threatened, that's going to hit really hard, whereas if I'm not attached to that and I hear that there's room for growth, I go fantastic, I am someone who can grow and learn. Can you offer me some feedback? Where can I evolve? Where can I be better If I can receive that? Well, that's a healthy, balanced ego. Whereas if someone says you're not a very good yoga teacher and then I go and cry in my bed for two weeks again not healthy, not balanced.
Speaker 2:If someone says you're an amazing yoga teacher, the best yoga teacher I've ever had in my life, oh my goodness, I don't know what I do without you. If you get that, if that builds you up and makes you go, yes, I am amazing. Thank you very much. Again, out of balance ego, okay, ego attaching to things. So what we want is a nice, balanced, peaceful response. We want to keep the mind in a nice, equanimous state, okay, so if someone says you're a bad yoga teacher, you can receive that and go. Okay, definitely, I think sometimes, definitely. Can you offer me some feedback so I can get better? If someone says you're the best yoga teacher in the whole world. You can go. I'm so glad this resonates for you. That's amazing, glad it works, excellent, I'm happy for you. You know, like I'm glad you know, but don't rise yourself up and be like, oh yes, well, I'm very, I'm very well, you know.
Speaker 2:Whatever you want to say, you know it's either way. When you allow someone to make you feel terrible about yourself, whether you make someone allow someone to build you up either way, it's not peace of mind. Peace of mind is always the middle ground. Okay, so you've got to have a healthy amount of self-confidence. I mean, I can't rock up to teach yoga class and go. I don't know.
Speaker 2:I think I'm all right, you know you've got to have some ability of I can do this and I can do it. Well, is there room for improvement? There always is. The sky's the limit for how much you can grow and learn. So really, you're never done, especially with something that's yoga is thousands of years old. How are you going to learn that in your short 50 years teaching yoga? You know 40 years teaching yoga. It's not going to. It's not going to happen. You do the best you can. There's always something to learn. Okay. So, either way, you've got to come in with the ability of I've got things to learn, but I can teach this class. I'm a good teacher. I know I can do it, but there's always room for improvement. You know, you find this healthy state of mind, this healthy perspective. So I'm using yoga teaching as an example, because that's my very common thing that I deal with.
Speaker 2:But for you it's something else. Maybe you have in your head I'm a great partner, my partner is so lucky. They're punching, if anything. How's that going to go? If they decide, actually I really need you to respond to me this way, then your ego is going to flare up and you're going to be like, hey, I'm the best partner you're ever going to get. You couldn't get any better than me. So why don't you just shut up and just you know that's not going to help. It's not going to help. Okay, so you've got to find a healthy, balanced state and if this area is going to be challenged, you're invited to meet that challenge with peace and love and understanding. You'll continue to be challenged until you figure it out. Okay, once you figure this out and you find a nice healthy, balanced state, it's very rare that your ego gets flared, that your identity gets challenged, it's not so much of a big deal anymore. But if you keep getting triggered by these kinds of things and it stirs up this horrific feeling inside you and this need to prove yourself or to curl up into yourself, you've got work to do in this space. So definitely look at that and be aware that if it is challenged, it's an opportunity to rise to meet it. It's not out to get you, you're going to rise to meet it. And our final card, another blue one, here we go Throat chakra Clear within, clear within.
Speaker 2:In terms of throat chakra clear within, clear the space. Maybe focus on nourishing your space this month, the throat space, perhaps practicing what you think sing, speak, practice creation as well. Allow creation to come up and flow through you. Allow yourself to speak and sing and shout and whisper and all those things. Allow yourself to really express what wants to come out through the throat chakra space. This is really important. Within to me really triggers the idea of that deep. You know, if anything that's coming out your mouth comes from deep within to me really triggers the idea of that deep you know, if anything that's coming out your mouth comes from deep within, whether it's inside your body, inside your spirit, inside your energy, whatever you want to call it. There's something deep within and it says clear within. Sometimes, when you speak those things into existence, you allow them to leave the body. That actually cleanses and clears what's being stuck inside.
Speaker 2:But there are many different practices you can do to help clear this space, yoga being one of them, meditation being another. Grounding and earthing outside. That really helps covering your throat, keeping it warm, especially if you're in a cool environment. But as well as opening the throat and maybe stretching the neck, massaging the throat a little bit not the actual throat, but around, around that space, practicing speaking, maybe massaging your jaw, making sure everything is soft, being mindful of your communication, that's. Did you just see that happen? If you're watching the video?
Speaker 2:I'm just speaking, as I do love talking, and my jumper picks up a card. The card is orange, which is sacral chakra, the emotional space, and it says go within. It's those kinds of things that make me think life is a little bit magic. So we just had clear within and now we've got go within. So maybe, as I was talking, the cards decided this will help Sacral. So now we're talking emotion and if it's connected with the last one, which I think it is, it's emotional expression.
Speaker 2:It's the things you need to say that are on your heart, that are in your body, that are in your emotional space. Some of them are quite deep. I always picture the heart feels all the emotions. It really experiences all the emotions in real time. Sacral chakra is where a lot of those emotions are stored over time. So the heart chakra will delegate to sacral and sacral will end up holding this energy. So if, as a child, you always felt a lot of guilt, a lot of guilt, heaps of guilt in your heart space, you may find that your sacral chakra now, as an adult, has a lot of guilt sitting there. So you may have issues with your hips, with your reproductive system, with all these different things. So it's quite a complex system. But what this is suggesting? That we need to speak the way we feel, speak what's coming through, speak about your emotions. That made me feel like this. I need you to respond like this, whatever it is. You know, it was actually funny.
Speaker 2:I was playing a board game with my partner on the weekend and we never played a board game together before. As a child I always used to play board games with my family and they were quite competitive and I'm a bit of a sensitive soul. So if someone wins and they go, yes, I'm awesome, you suck, or whatever. You know that kind of like competitive, I win energy. I don't deal very well with that. As a child, I was always very sensitive and I just wanted to play to have fun and not focus on who wins or who loses, because I didn't like the way it made me feel. I either felt, you know, like I was awesome and I was winning and everyone else sucked, or it made me feel like I sucked and either way, it just didn't feel right. Okay.
Speaker 2:So when I played this board game with my partner, he had one moment and it wasn't even bad, it was just funny. He was like I'm winning or you know something. I can't remember exactly what he said. I know he'll listen to this and be like I didn't say that, but it's some, some kind of energy that made me, that triggered that memory inside me and I started to hold this resentment towards him because he was being competitive in my head, you know, and you know we ended up having a little spat of being and he was like what's your problem?
Speaker 2:You know, and we actually had to talk about this and I realized that those childhood wounds of feeling not good enough, of feeling like I had to win, or feeling like someone else thinks they're better than me because they won, and all those little sensitive childhood emotions that I had came to the surface. You know, I'm 27. They came to the surface and they went at my partner, you know, even though it's not what he was doing. So I was able to express to him and say, actually, what's coming up for me is that I had, you know, these deep issues as a kid, you know, feeling like I wasn't good enough, or feeling like I had to be better than everyone else, or feeling whatever. Feeling picked on, feeling bullied by that competitive energy, and I guess it's still pretty raw inside me because it came up again in a completely different situation, with a completely different person, a completely different game. So when I was able to share that with him, he was better able to understand where I was coming from and why some of those emotions were there, why they were coming up. But what I had to do was combine that sacral energy, really be aware of what's happening and be able to express it clearly. Okay, so you're going to use your throat chakra to help you clear sacral, to help you clear stuff that's coming up.
Speaker 2:The card that basically said that our solar plexus is going to be challenged, your identity, your sense of self, perhaps you get challenged. Your sense of self gets challenged. That brings up an emotion, maybe from your past, maybe a new emotion. Then you're going to have to explain it and that process is a challenging process but it's one that leads to deep growth and evolution on a personal scale and with partners, friends, family, everything you name it. So this process is really beautiful and the card that we received right in the beginning, which was warmth in the heart space, that is going to help you get through.
Speaker 2:If you allow your heart to get cold, you lose that sense of compassion for yourself and for others. This process is harder, it's more challenging, but if you keep the warmth, then you can burn through anything that comes up. You can make your way through it all. So you've got to prioritize that warmth. So perhaps a practice that we do together through August maybe in the beginning of your day or maybe when you feel like you need it, place your hands over your heart. You can even rub the hands together, build some heat in the palms, place the hands over the heart, close the eyes and just take a moment to breathe into the heart space, breathing life into the heart space. Imagine the warmth in the heart space. Imagine the warmth in the heart space. Perhaps we do that practice together this month. Thank you so much for being here.
Speaker 2:Magical Human, I hope you enjoyed this card reading. I hope it resonated with you and I hope August well, it's clearly going to be transformative, assuming these cards are on the right track for us. But I encourage you to still have a beautiful month and welcome these challenges. Prioritise the warmth, prioritise the fun, prioritise the love, so that these challenges are just simple stepping stones. They're not massive hurdles. Okay, if you have any questions or comments, please leave them below. If you're on Spotify or on YouTube, or you can send me a DM or send me an email, I'd love to chat to you. Thank you so much. I'll see you in the next one, love.
Speaker 1:Thank you.
