Hello Magical Human, welcome back to Madison Mindset, the podcast. Join me for this episode where we are going to go through a beautiful practice and affirmation practice for being happy right now. Happy right now Many times throughout my week, as I'm going about my life, teaching yoga, doing the podcast, talking to people about their mental health, how they're feeling, how their life is going. All these things doing coaching, all the beautiful connections I get to make with people. A common thing that comes up is people will say, oh, it's easy for you, you're happy. Or you know, oh, it must be nice, you know, with your. You know you're always peaceful, you're always this, you're always that, you know. And I want to start by saying that's not true. You know, I'm not always peaceful, I'm not always happy, and there was definitely a time in my life where I did not experience any of those things. You know, I was stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, unhappy, sad, all of those things. What's changed for me is this work. What's changed for me is changing my mind, changing my life, and that's exactly what I'm here to help you do. That's why this podcast exists, that's why I teach yoga, that's why I coach, because I want you to have the tools to do the same. Okay, that's why the Patreon exists so you can go deeper. That's why I'm here doing what I'm doing. This is, I feel, is my purpose right now, is to help others find this light, because it is there. It is always there. You know true joy.

Speaker 1:

True joy is not joy that is ignited from an external experience or you know something good happening outside of you, something in your life, something happening, some person, some event, some experience that makes you happy. That's fleeting happiness. It's same as sadness. It comes and goes with the waves of life, with what you experience. True joy, true love and true peace are infinite and available always. They are not part of this scale of emotions that are triggered in certain experiences or events in time. This is tapping into the infinite love, the infinite joy, the infinite peace that is around you in every single moment, no matter the moment. It's always there. It's the same energy as life creation. The love that's all around you, in the world, in nature, the joy, the peace, all of it. You can see it outside of you, you can see it in the world, and it's something that we're learning to tap into as human beings, instead of going for the crazy rollercoaster ride of the ups and downs of life. We're learning to tap into the infinite resource of peace, love and joy, and then, simply, all that happens is that you're experiencing, you're witnessing the ups and downs of life without getting on the roller coaster, without going up and down emotionally. You may feel sadness, but you're still in a center of peace and joy. Now, that is entirely possible.

Speaker 1:

I have read about this. I have had many teachers teaching about this. There are many different philosophies that teach this. You know yoga and Buddhism, for two examples, and I've experienced it in my own life and I'm no way near close to mastering this. But taking steps towards it and actively practicing towards it makes a huge difference in our life and I want to give that to you.

Speaker 1:

So for those of you that, oh, it must be nice for you. You know you're always happy, you're always peaceful, whatever especially to you, understand that that's not a healthy outlook to have to look at someone else and go, oh, it's easy for you, you're always happy. We all have challenges of life. We've all had things go on. We've all had different scales of different things. We cannot compare each other. You cannot look at one person and say, oh well, they're happy. That's not fair, because I'm not happy. That's not how this is going to work and that's not going to benefit anyone, including yourself. So let's together acknowledge that happiness is available now and all we have to do to experience that true joy and that peace is to simply choose to tap into that frequency. So we're going to do a really easy practice right now. That helps me tap back in when I feel like I've lost it.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so I want you to come to a stand still or sit down in a still position. Just bring the body into stillness If you're driving, just listen. You'll be able to do this when you stop. Be into a still position, close the eyes, if you can, or just soften your gaze to the floor. Feel the connection you have with your body. Feel the connection you have with the ground, with the earth below you. Soften the body, soften your connection with the ground. Soften your connection with the ground and bring your attention to your breath. Notice the breath, breathe deeply, breathing in the sensation of joy, exhaling any fear, any judgment, judgment. Inhaling the sensation of peace. Exhaling any anger or control. Inhaling the sensation of love, exhaling any doubt or attachment. Breathing deeply. Tap into the life force, energy within your body, exhaling any doubt or attachment, breathing deeply. Tap into the life force, energy within your body that's always there, prana. Repeat the following words out loud or in your mind after me I am peace, I am joy, I am love.

I am peace, I am joy, I am love. Peace is available always. Joy is available always. Love is available always. Peace is available in every single moment. Joy is available in every single moment. Love is available in every single moment. Life is peaceful, life is joyful, life is loving. I am part of the joy in this world.

I am peace, I am joy, I am love peace is available now and always.

Joy is available now and always. Love is available now and always. I choose this now, I choose this now. I choose peace now. I am peace, I am joy.
